Electro-Mech Introduces Miniature "Snap-Feel" Switch for High Density Front Panels
6/15/2000
June 15, 2000 -- Electro-Mech Components, Inc. introduces the new snap-fell SW44034 switch. Featuring a compact overall design in industry standard sizes, the non-illuminated momentary snap-feel switch is ideally suited as a replacement unit for high density industrial front control panels or for new control panel designs.
Designed with a tactile feel for secure control, the new switch features a long service life (100,000 actuations minimum) and waterproof housing. With an overall length of only 1.36", the SW44034 requires just 0.66" space behind the panel and is easily mounted from the back of the panel into a standard 9/16" hole with supplied 1/2"-32 hex nut. Housed in a plastic case, the base of the SW44034 is sealed to the case, offering waterproof security for applications where leakage may be of concern.
Lightweight and compact, the new switch weighs just 3 grams and is available in a variety of standard or special button colors, custom engraving, replaceable lenses, and multiple button and lens options for a wide range of design choices.
Ratings are 1 amp resistive, 0.25 amp inductive at 30VDC or 125VAC. Other features of the model SW44034 switch include: operating pressure of 32 oz. (+ 8 oz.), plunger travel of approximately 0.080" nominal, and a rated life of 100,000 actuations (minimum).
