July 14, 2000 -- prsSW44095.jpg (181708 bytes)  Electro-Mech Components, Inc. introduces the new miniature SW44095 Snap Action pushbutton switch.   The tactile-feel illuminated switch features an electrical snap action switching mechanism, offering increased reliability in a wide variety of rugged applications including telecommunications, avionics, and instrumentation where high-density industrial front panel controls are required.

Designed with a built-in red LED rated at 5vdc and Electro-Mech's 1/2" square lens, the unit's packaging features a convenient, unitized housing for access to small area panels.  Compact in size, the SW44095 switch measures just 1.65" in length and requires only a 5/8" diameter mounting hole, and can be mounted on 3/4" centers where high density switch/indicator arrays are desired or where space is a concern.  The SW44095 mounts easily to the front panel via a 5/8" hex nut with internal tooth lockwasher.

Ratings are 1 amp resistive, 0.25 amp inductive at 30vdc or 125vac.  Other features of the model SW44095 Snap Action switch include an operating pressure of 16 oz. (+ 4 oz.), plunger travel of approximately 0.050", and a rated life of 100,000 actuations minimum.  Unit pricing is $7.90 each in production quantities of 1,000 pieces with delivery of 8 weeks ARO.
